For more than 40 years, Highline Community Hospital has offered the people of southwest King County quality healthcare close to home. From its state-of-the-art Family Childbirth Center to the nationally accredited Cancer Care Program, Highline provides for the whole family. Highline is Washington's first Planetree hospital, providing advanced medical technology with compassionate, respectful and personalized health care for patients and their families. The C.A.R.E. Channel is broadcast on the television on its inpatient units.
With more than 200 physicians and health care practitioners on the medical staff and 1,500 full and part time employees, Highline Community Hospital is able to offer a comprehensive array of acute and specialty care services. Twenty-four hour emergency services, a family childbirth center, inpatient medical unit, outpatient and inpatient surgical services, intensive care unit, cardiac care services and inpatient and outpatient cancer care services are all offered at the Highline Campus. Highline's Specialty Center provides behavioral, rehabilitative and home care services, including home health and hospice. Rehabilitation services include acute, sub-acute, skilled nursing and transitional care. Behavioral services include chemical dependency detox, inpatient and outpatient treatment, as well as inpatient and outpatient geriatric psychiatry services.
In June 2004, a new 23,400 sq. foot Cancer Center opened on the Highline Campus. The Cancer Center offers state-of-the-art technology, highly trained board-certified specialists, chemotherapy, and through a partnership with the Swedish Cancer Institute, the most advanced radiation therapy available. Specialized support services including meditation, therapeutic massage, hot tub, sauna, and a healing garden are available.
